    1. Self-catering Hotel Rooms

     

    • Minimum bookings of 1 (one) night are required, with a minimum booking of 2 (two) nights over long weekends.
    • Smoking in hotel rooms is strictly prohibited. Failure to adhere thereto may result in a fine and/or the forfeiture of any deposit (including a key deposit).
    • Hotel rooms are cleaned daily by Lodge staff.
    • Laundry services are available on request, at an additional cost.
    • No pets are allowed in the hotel rooms, save for service
    • Private swimming towels and dishcloths must be utilised by guests, alternatively, swimming towels and dishcloths may be rented from the Lodge’s shop at an additional charge.
    • No music from motor vehicles or private sound systems/equipment is permitted at the Lodge.

     

    1. Self-catering luxury Safari Tents

     

    • Minimum bookings of 1 (one) night are required, with a minimum booking of 2 (two) nights over long weekends.
    • Smoking in luxury tents is strictly prohibited. Failure to adhere thereto may result in a fine and/or the forfeiture of any deposit.
    • Luxury tents are serviced daily.
    • Laundry services are available on request, at an additional cost.
    • No pets are allowed in the luxury tents, save for service dogs.
    • Private swimming towels and dishcloths must be utilised by guests, alternatively, swimming towels and dishcloths may be rented from the Lodge’s shop at an additional charge.
    • No music from motor vehicles or private sound systems/equipment is permitted at the Lodge.

     

    1. Self-catering Hunting Camp Rooms

     

    • Minimum bookings of 1 (one) night are required, with a minimum booking of 2 (two) nights over long weekends.
    • Smoking in hunting camp rooms is strictly prohibited. Failure to adhere hereto may result in a fine and/or the forfeiture of any deposit (including a key deposit).
    • Hunting camp rooms are serviced daily.
    • Laundry services are available on request, at an additional cost.
    • No pets are allowed in the hunting camp rooms, save for service dogs.
    • Private swimming towels and dishcloths must be utilised by guests, alternatively, swimming towels and dishcloths may be rented from the Lodge’s shop at an additional charge.
    • No music from motor vehicles or private sound systems/equipment is permitted at the Lodge.

     

     

    1. Camping site

     

    • Minimum bookings of 1 (one) night are required, with a minimum booking of 2 (two) nights over long weekends.
    • Camping Sites are cleaned daily.
    • Laundry services are available on request, at an additional cost.
    • Guest using the camping facilities must bring their own power point adaptor.
    • Camp sizes are standardised; however, they may differ slightly due to landscape.
    • No pets are allowed in the camping site, save for service dogs.
    • Private swimming towels and dishcloths must be utilised by guests, alternatively, swimming towels and dishcloths may be rented from the Lodge’s shop at an additional charge.
    • No music from motor vehicles or private sound systems/equipment is permitted at the Lodge.

     

    1. Day Visitors

     

    • A maximum of 200 (Two hundred) day visitors are permitted at the Lodge per day.
    • For day visits, the lodge implements a pricing structure of 150 rands per adult and 100 rands for children aged between 3 and 12 years.
    • Day visitors are not required to pre-book visits and credit card payment is required at the reception.
    • Group bookings for day visitors are limited to 20 (twenty) people per group.
    • No music from motor vehicles or private sound systems/equipment is permitted at the Lodge.
    • Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited within the premises of the lodge. However, the lodge does offer a selection of alcoholic beverages for purchase.
    • All rules of the water park and the directions of the lifeguard on duty must be always obeyed. Failure to comply with water park rules or the directions of the lifeguard may result in a guests’ removal from the water park. No refunds will be provided to guests who are removed from the water park.

     

     

     

    1. Water Park

     

    • The water park will be operational from 09h00 to 18h00.
    • Guests are welcome to bring their own camp chairs and beach umbrellas.
    • Swimming towels are not provided, and guests should bring their own swimming towels, alternatively towels may be rented from the Lodge’s shop at an additional charge.
    • Backrests are free and are available to all guests on a first-come-first-serve basis.
    • Chairs are available to the elderly and disabled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
    • No refunds or discounts will be awarded due to any slide or water feature being out of order.
    • No refunds or discounts will be awarded due to bad weather.
    • Designated smoking areas are available, as indicated on the signage provided.
    • Proper swimwear must be always worn. Any guest not properly attired in the sole and absolute discretion of the Lodge and its staff shall be restricted from using the water features if this is not adhered to.
    • All users of tube slides and body slides are required to be at least 1.2 metres tall to use the slides.
    • Parents and guardians may not accompany a child shorter than 1.2 metres down a slide.
    • All minors must be closely supervised by a parent or guardian whilst in the water park and in the water.
    • All rules of the water park and the directions of the lifeguard on duty must be always obeyed. Failure to comply with water park rules or the directions of the lifeguard may result in a guests’ removal from the water park. No refunds will be provided to guests who are removed from the water park.

     

    1. Game Drives

     

    • Guests must remain seated during game-drives, unless given permission to do otherwise by the game-ranger on duty.
    • Guests must keep their voices down during game drives.
    • Cell phones must be kept on silent during game drives.
    • Guests are prohibited from attempting to distract or reach out to wild animals.
    • Unless given permission, guests may not eat or drink whilst the game vehicle is moving.
    • Guests are permitted to take photographs of animals, but all the animals should always be respected.
    • Guests are required to always obey the game rangers’ instructions.

    1. Bookings and Deposit:

     

    • A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation fee (including VAT) is required to confirm any booking reservation.
    • Payment of the outstanding balance must be made prior to guests’ arrival at the Lodge.
    • A key deposit in the amount of R500.00 (Five hundred rands) is payable at check-in, which key deposit is refundable within 7 (seven) days after check-out. Alternatively, guests can arrange an outgoing inspection the morning before check-out for the key deposit to be refunded during check-out.
    • If that the arrival date is less than 7 (seven) days from the day of making the reservation, full payment shall be required before a reservation will be confirmed by the Lodge.
    • Day visitors will be allowed at the Lodge, subject to available capacity.

     

    1. Online bookings

     

    • A booking is only confirmed once the Lodge provides a booking confirmation in writing, accordingly, a booking request merely represents an application for accommodation and does not constitute an official reservation.
    • A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation account (including VAT) is also required to be paid to confirm an online booking reservation.
    • Any deposit paid may be forfeited in line with the cancellation policy of the Lodge.
    • The payment must occur on or before the due date stipulated on the Lodge’s booking request form to secure bookings.
    • Failure to pay the deposit on or before the due date will lead to the cancellation of the booking without prior notice.
    • Payment of the outstanding balance is to be made prior to guests arriving at the Lodge.
    • All amendments to any booking must be made in writing, at least 7 (seven) days prior to a visit.
    • Debit cards, Visa, and Mastercard credit cards, as well as electronic transfers, are all accepted payment methods.

     

    1. Online Booking Credit Card Payments

     

    • Payments will be made through a secure online payment gateway.
    • Guests will be prompted to enter credit card details to process payment of the deposit.
    • You may receive a message once the payment transaction is complete confirming that payment was successful.

     

    1. Cancellation Policy

     

    • A minimum of 20% administration fee of the full account will be levied on any cancellation.
    • Cancellation of a booking 45 (forty-five) to 30 (thirty) days prior to arrival will result in guests forfeiting 25% of the full reservation value.
    • Cancellation of a booking 30 (thirty) to 14 (fourteen) days prior to arrival will result in guests forfeiting 50% of the full reservation value.
    • Cancellation of a booking less than 14 (fourteen) days prior to arrival will result in guests forfeiting 100% of the full reservation value.
    • Guests will be held responsible for the full reservation value despite not arriving as scheduled (“No show”) or early departures.
    • The ability to re-let rooms, provide refunds and/or waiving of cancellation policies are at the discretion of management.

     

    1. General

     

    • Registration occurs upon arrival, at which stage guests will be required to sign the Client Indemnity Form, which Client Indemnity Form should be read in conjunction with the Standard Terms and Conditions.
    • Guests will also be required to sign a form wherein they undertake to adhere to the rules of the Lodge.
    • Guest will be issued with a vehicle permit on arrival and registration.
    • No motorbikes and/or ATV four-wheelers are allowed at the Lodge.
    • Please consider other guest by keeping noise levels as low as possible.
    • Silence must be maintained between 22h00 and 07h00.
    • During out of season periods, there may be conferences and/or school groups at the Lodge.
    • No Pets are allowed, except service dogs.
    • Rates include 15% VAT and are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR), and quoted fees are charged without prior notice.

     

    1. Disclaimer
      • The information and marketing materials presented on Lethabong Lodge and Water Park’s website and/or any other information provided in whatsoever format may be legally privileged.
      • Lethabong Lodge and Water Park’s personnel, contributors and advertisers disclaim all liability for any loss damage, injury or expense that might arise from the use of, or reliance upon, the service or marketing materials presented on its website or in any other format whatsoever.
      • Lethabong Lodge and Water Park is neither liable for the proper, completed transmission of the information contained on any other format, nor for any delay in its receipt.
      • Lethabong Lodge and Water Park’s personnel, sponsors, contributors, and advertisers will not be held liable for any loss, incidental, special or punitive loss, damages, or expense (including, without limitation, lost profits, opportunity cost, etc) even if it has been advised of their possible existence, that might arise from the use of, or reliance upon, the services and/or marketing material contained on its website or any format.
      • Client shall indemnify and hold harmless the Lethabong Lodge and Water Park, its personnel, sponsors, contributors and advertisers from and against any payments, loss, cost or expense (including reasonable attorneys ‘fees) paid or incurred by following any advice herein or in any format presented.

15.3.1 This policy applies to you when you visit our website, or book our self-catering accommodation as a guest or have any interaction with us that was initiated by yourself.

15.4.1.2 book our accommodation venue;
15.4.1.3 have any interaction with us initiated by you; or
15.4.1.4 you provide voluntarily.
15.4.1.5 It excludes anonymous, de-identified, statistical, and public information.
15.4.2 Your obligation:
15.4.2.1 Sending us your personal information is mandatory to book our accommodation, make an enquiry and receive any services from us. You may request to have such information deleted once any matter has been concluded by notifying us via Email, WhatsApp or Phone. You may only send us someone else’s personal information if you have their permission to do so. Should you send us someone else’s information without their permission, you are solely liable for any legal issues in doing so.
15.4.3 Acceptance and changes
15.4.3.1 Acceptance. You may not make any bookings, booking enquiries, general enquiries and/or engage in any of our services if you do not accept this policy or any changes to it.
15.4.3.2 Changes. We may change this policy at any time and any change will be noted as a change in this document. It is up to you to consult this document should you see the need to do so to keep updated with any changes. The changed policy applies to you if you continue using our website, make a booking, a booking enquiry, general enquiries and engage with us in any way whatsoever.
15.4.4 Collection
15.4.4.1 Automatically through the website. When you visit our website, we automatically collect your Internet usage information (including your IP address, browser details, and usage information) through your browser, which we may use to display our website correctly, track your activities on it, or for other necessary purposes.
15.4.4.2 On making a booking or submitting any enquiry whatsoever. We require you to provide us with certain identifying information (including your first name, surname, and email address) when you book accommodation, make enquiries of any kind and have any interaction with us as engaging in any of these activities is entirely your choice.
15.4.4.3 Voluntarily. We may ask you to provide us with certain optional information voluntarily.
15.4.4.4 Consent to collection. You give us consent to retain your personal information under applicable law when you provide us with it in any of the above criteria.
15.4.4.5 The purpose of the collection. We may process the information that you provide to us for the purposes that you indicated when you chose to provide it to us. Processing includes gathering your personal information, disclosing it, and combining it with other personal information.

15.4.5.1 Processing. We may process your personal information to fulfil our obligations to you.

By booking our accommodation, making enquiries of us or engaging with us in any way of your own volition, which is your choice to do so entirely, you automatically consent to us sending you promotional messages and various other marketing material. The onus is then on you, after initiating any communication with us whatsoever to opt-out of such Promotional and marketing materials and messages. We will not ask permission from you for this if you have initiated any communications with us but take it as a given that you consent to any and all communication as the initiator of such conversation.
15.4.5.5 Targeted content. We may use your personal information to provide you with targeted content through our website in a completely automated process.

15.4.6.1 Sharing. We may share your personal information with third parties to fulfil our obligations to you, including with:
15.4.6.1.1 Any companies and services that are essential to making a booking, providing transport services, making bookings at service providers, restaurants, wine farms et al and processing payments;

15.4.6.2 Honour this policy. We cannot hold third parties that we share your personal information as per above to honour this policy. We will endeavour to only use third party companies that have sound privacy policies that are similar to this one of ours. Any objection to this simply means that you can not use this service that we readily supply our guests.
15.4.6.3 Mandatory disclosure. We may disclose personal information to third parties if required for legal reasons, such as if required by the relevant authorities or court orders.
15.4.6.4 Personnel. We may need to disclose personal information to our personnel to do their jobs, but will not do so unnecessarily.

15.4.7 Security
15.4.7.1 We take the security of personal information very seriously and always do our best to comply with applicable data protection laws. Our hosting company hosts our website in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced security measures to prevent interference or access from outside intruders.
15.4.7.2 Our website has sufficient security software installed and active, the website’s software is regularly updated to the latest versions. We implement disaster recovery procedures where appropriate. Backups are frequently made and kept in a secure location.

15.4.8 Storage
15.4.8.1 Access. You may ask us to provide you with a description of the personal information that we hold on you, correct or update it or delete it (provided that we do not need it to fulfil our obligations to you or applicable law does not require us to keep it). We will take all reasonable steps to verify your identity before doing so. We may charge a fee to recoup our costs associated with this request if there is a cost to us associated with it and provided that applicable law allows us to do so.
